How FieldLasso works day to day, from first setup to paid invoice. Each section describes shipped behavior — when a capability has a limit, the limit is stated.
Start your company
Create an account at Get started — the 14-day trial needs no credit card. Pick your business type during setup: it configures your terminology, request questions, job fields, and starter services, and you can adjust prices and overrides any time under Business profile. Add the ZIP codes you serve so request forms and booking validate your service area.
Requests and leads
Your public booking page includes a hosted request form with questions specific to your business type, and customers can attach photos — no customer account required. Each submission becomes a lead with its structured answers and photos preserved, ready to price. Leads move through a simple pipeline (new, contacted, quote sent, won, lost) so nothing waits unnoticed.
Quotes, approval, and deposits
Create a quote from a request or straight from a client. Built-in templates for your business type start the document — their lines are deliberately unpriced until you confirm your own prices. Mark lines optional to let the customer choose add-ons. Sending generates a secure link; the customer reviews the exact document, selects allowed options, and approves without creating an account. If you require a deposit, it is collected on your own connected Stripe account before the work is scheduled. Revising a sent quote preserves the prior version, and automated follow-ups (off by default) respect customer notification consent.
Convert, schedule, and dispatch
An approved quote converts exactly once into a job carrying the accepted line items — retrying can never duplicate it. Pick the service day, an optional arrival window, and who runs the visit. The schedule and dispatch boards show every visit per technician, and one-off jobs sit alongside recurring visits.
The field app
Technicians see their day, start a visit, and document the work. Business types that require proof photos block completion until before/after photos are attached (owners can adjust this per company). Completing a visit records time and mileage, and a service report with the job's customer-visible details can be delivered to the customer.
Invoices and payments
Invoices generate from completed work — line items come from the job's accepted scope, and a paid quote deposit is credited exactly once, never twice. Customers pay through Stripe-hosted checkout on your connected account; card data never touches FieldLasso servers. Recurring customers can keep a card on file with autopay, and every recorded payment lives on the invoice.
Recurring work and canvassing
Recurring plans generate visits on your customers' service days, grouped into per-technician routes with a reorderable stop sequence (straight-line ordering — not road- or traffic-aware optimization). Field teams can also run door-to-door canvassing: walked sessions, automatic flyer-stop detection while the phone stays pocketed, intentional outcomes, and doorstep leads captured into the same pipeline.
The customer portal
Your customers get a portal for their visits, service reports, quotes, and invoices, plus optional email or text updates they control. Quote approval never requires a portal account — the secure link is enough.
Import your customers
Bring existing customers in with the CSV import: server-validated column mapping, per-row duplicate handling, durable import reports, and a guarded rollback if a batch needs to be undone.
The demo sandbox
The live demo provisions a private, clearly fictional company — real software, invented data, payments in a visible test mode. Demo companies expire after 7 days and are removed automatically; subscribing from inside the demo keeps the account.
Your data
Authenticated users can download their data or submit a deletion request. The Security page describes the controls behind the product, and the Privacy Policy covers how information is handled.
